The violence of everyday office life – punched paper, sheets pierced with staples, envelopes ripped open – is lovingly expressed by this set of stationery designed for 13th Street (a German horror and crime channel.)
My favorite is the envelope with the rip-away strip. The very act of opening the letter makes one visually complicit in the bloody murder of the person depicted on the flap. That shock, that momentary experience of the strange and disturbing with the subsequent possibility of a new perspective going forward is one of the things I love about the whole horror genre.
And here it is beautifully expressed in normally mundane paper products!
